地図を描くこと

久しぶりに故郷へ帰り街の姿を気にして見てみると、見慣れた景色についてもっと知りたいと思い、地図を読み込み描くことにした。

街の姿を想像しながら地図を描いていくと、山と川によってその地形ができていることが見えてくる。そこには人々の生活があり、文化を知り、歴史を知ることになる。

山から海へ脈々と流れる川の姿や、空を覆うように枝を伸ばす木々の姿は、生き物の血管とよく似た形をしている。それら自然の姿は我々人間に恩恵を与えてきた。歴史や文化が培われ、今日の私の体の中にも流れている。

Drawing a map

Returning to my hometown for the first time in a long time and taking a careful look at the city, I wanted to know more about the familiar landscape, so I decided to read a map and draw it.

When you draw a map of a city, you will see that the topography of the city is formed by mountains and rivers. In the topography, there are people's lives, culture, and history.

The rivers flowing in veins from the mountains to the sea and the trees stretching their branches to cover the sky look much like the blood vessels of living creatures. Such nature has benefited us humans. History and culture have passed through it, and it flows through my body today.
